General Guild Info
First off... What is Karma?
This is the description we typically use:
Karma is a guild on Guild Wars 2 with a slight focus on World versus World, but also heavily participates in PvE and Structured PvP. We aim to be a community driven guild with no one person calling the shots.
A few things need to be clarified though about our guild purpose (in-game). First and foremost we just want to have fun in a relaxed environment, but with that being said more and more members have expressed that interest in WvW has brought them to Karma. We will never make time requirements, or even make playing WvW a requirement to join but it would certainly be appreciated if you are in a WvW battleground and Karma is trying to make a large push that you join and help out.
“Hardcore” isn’t a word that we would want to use to describe ourselves in WvW, but for a lot of us we definitely want Karma to have a presence in WvW. Organization and staying with the push in WvW will be vital to winning a match. This is only to make members aware of the situation where 20 Karma members are pushing to take a fort while another 15 are doing a jumping puzzle. We also completely understand that for those with limited time you may just really want to do a jumping puzzle (and that's fine too).
Etiquette
We nforce the following rule in terms of mumble and in game behavior:
Racism, sexism, or any discriminatory remarks or trolling will not be tolerated. We understand jokes are jokes, but it’s very clear when the line is crossed.
This is still the basis of our rules, but we want to add to it. Disputes will happen between members, and regardless of rank it needs to be a private affair. If you think another member has crossed the line etc., just ask them to join an empty subchannel and solve it there. If they cross the line ‘publicly’, then mods can handle it accordingly.
In our town hall meeting, someone asked if there was an age requirement to join Karma. There is no age requirement, but there’s an informal maturity requirement.
