We're Lorebound! A daft bunch with a history in endgame tomfoolery, but a current focus on hosting a friendly, welcoming community.

Our History
In 2023, we created [LORE] - a laidback guild offering a positive and accessible environment to explore endgame content. We shared plenty of laughs, broke the stigma surrounding harder content in GW2 - and had a blast doing it!
In 2026? We're more focused on our cozy spot on the internet over an event calendar. Life is busy, so we just want a space to play the game we love, when time allows, with people we love.
Lorebound Today!
Half of us are 30, so we're clearly too ancient to raid 4 times a week. Some of us touched grass and haven't been the same since. Our leaders got a cat who needs attention 24/7. We got way too invested in Wordle. And Steam kept throwing goofy games about frogs at us that were too cute to ignore, so…
…anyway…
What We Offer
- A fully upgraded Guild Hall in The Isle of Reflection, which includes:
- Selectable buffs for everything from XP to Magic Find boosts. Permanent and free. Change what you want, whenever you want.
- 15% Waypoint Discount, so trips to Cantha won't financially ruin your entire family.
- Several resource nodes to harvest from daily.
- Access to scribe and decorating outside of festival seasons.
- A well-maintained, mid-sized roster that we let sit at around 200~ members max.
- Help, advice, and support from a welcoming group.
- Seasonal community events, impromptu mini-games, and giveaways.
- Representation is encouraged, but not mandatory!
- A community founded around balance. Groups should be fun but always open to improving!
- A bot to create events with, so anyone can arrange a group.
- A well-organized Discord with several social channels.
- We do also have a guild in the OG Guild Wars if you'd like an invite later, too! We have lovingly named it Ye Olde Lorebound.
- So many cute cat pictures.
What We're Looking For
- Down to earth, friendly people with a sense of humor!
- Compassionate - we have a varied roster with folk from all walks of life. Offer everyone the same grace you'd like to receive.
- Our average demographic is between 20-30 years old. We are mature when it is needed, but for the most part, we are quite silly. Childish adults, if you will!
- Willing to meet us halfway and take steps to get involved. Say hello when you can, share your interests, give us plenty of opportunities to get to know you!
- We heavily focus on maintaining a roster that is active, particularly on Discord.
- When reviewing applications, we look for active players with basic experience in the game, who are laid back, social, actively engage with and help others, and are community focused.
Setting Expectations
- We are usually active from 6pm (UTC) onwards.
- We do not offer a set-in-stone event schedule to avoid commander burnout - we want the game to remain fun for everyone and not turn into a second job.
- We are not a 24/7 chatroom. Some days we're super chatty, other days we're busy and quiet.
- A few members occasionally dip into WvW and PvP, particularly during rushes, but it is not our main focus. We are very much open world and instance-focused.
- Monitoring the guild in-game is difficult and gives admin limited view, so we will base your activity from the Discord.
Rules:
- 18+ only.
- Must be on an [EU] server. The specific server no longer matters, but it must be EU based.
- Zero tolerance on hate speech, discrimination, and bullying.
- We understand sometimes people's understanding on what is acceptable to joke about or discuss is subject to experience and we will do our best to navigate this maturely and educate where needed, but if someone has actively tried to upset or hurt another member, they are out.
- Always be respectful, positive, and understanding.
- Cruel, argumentative, and pessimistic influences will not be tolerated.
- Teams should focus on fun first, results second, but be open to improvement all the same.
- Respect people's time - always be punctual and reliable to groups.
- Members will be removed from the guild if inactive for 2+ months and will need to soft-reapply upon return.
- New members will have limited access to bots until promoted to Scholar at the 3 week mark.
- Giveaways are restricted to Prodigy rank, so we can be sure we're giving back to active members.
- Discord is mandatory, as it's our main social hub!

Your responses do not have to be an essay, but please be aware we take into account your responses to determine if we are the right fit for you, and vice versa.
It's extremely important to us that we maintain a community that is safe, on the same page as one another, and that new applicants are liable to be a positive influence to the guild. We want folk who are active on Discord, helpful, positive, PvE / instanced content focused, and with some decent experience in the game so they're at a similar speed to our core roster.
