General Guild Info
Vintage Gaming [VG] is a medium-sized, level 69 PvX guild. We strive to make the full scope of the game's contents accessible to our members, although in practice we tend to go wherever the rewards, excitement, and shinies are, or wherever we land after plummeting off a cliff. These days, our interests tend to lie in open world events, fractals, and living story content, but that can change with the drop of a pin, or with the drop of Arenanet's next announcement. We are a relatively laid-back guild and spend much or our time relaxing and contemplating things such as if it's a good idea to knit sweaters out of cat fluff, or if it's possible to deep fry cheese cake.
We offer guild missions once a week, on Saturday evening. Throughout the week, our members also have permission to start missions on their own for personal credit. We run a weekly guild lottery. Our guild hall features the full complement of 10% buffs at our tavern, war room upgrades to help our scribes level, a boss statue collection, a snow ramp, a cluster of Mordremoth's teeth in riotous bloom, and our honorary mascot, Tentacle Duck, who looks at you menancingly and asks you how you feel about llamas. Outside of the game, we keep in touch via Teamspeak, an active Slack, and our Enjin website. Our leadership team, which likes to make decisions by committee, has infamously lengthy meetings.
As a group, we're laid back and relatively mature, and it's important to us that prospective members fit our culture. We strive to be friendly, inclusive, and accepting, and there is no space for jerks or bigots in our guild. We value helpfulness, participation, and cooperation and welcome players of all levels and any class; our members range from those just starting out to extremely experienced achievement hunters. We want you to be engaged in our community, but we understand that we aren't necessarily your only community, and that's okay. In our spare time, we enjoy good-natured ribbing, AFKing in Lion's Arch, the Royal Terrace, the Itzel flax farm, or the Isle of Reflection, running or flapping around in circles, and a fierce pants (our guild leader) vs puns (everyone else) rivalry.
