General Guild Info
MYST is a long-running, community based, guild that has been active since 2006. We started as a Guild Wars guild and have since branched into other games, including a strong focus within Guild Wars 2. We are currently building up strength for new adventures in Heart of Thorns and are looking for bravery, cunning and a good sense of mischief to help us on our way...
We believe that gaming is as social as you decide to make it and, so, we encourage everyone to contribute their bit to our little community; there is always room for individual talents, interests and expertise within our guild. Above all, however, we are friends playing games together so we specifically look for new members with the same sociable, friendly, attitude as us - rather than focusing on age or game experience.
The majority of our members are based in Europe, but our events are held to accommodate members from various timezones so we also welcome anyone from the international community.
Of course, you can also expect quite a bit from MYST in return for your membership. Within Guild Wars 2 members of the community participate in the following:
- World exploration and jumping puzzles
- Dungeons (speed runs and relaxed exploration)
- Living Story achievements
- Casual WvW and PvP
- Guild Missions (all are unlocked and run regulary every Sunday)
- PvE Guild Created Events (i.e. scavenger hunts)
We hold real world meetups within Europe, and attend conventions such as Gamescom in Germany and Eurogamer in the UK, which all of our members are invited to attend. We also hold annual charitable fundraising events and have previously run our own gaming marathons which have raised upwards of $6000 for Child's Play.
Aside from Guild Wars 2 we also play various other games and host social nights on steam and ventrillo so there are always people around to play with! DOTA 2 and HotS are regular haunts of ours, with matches happening nightly. New players are welcome to join any game they like and are actively encouraged to share and suggest new titles that other members might enjoy.
