Thanks!!

Carpe can be roughly classified as a Casual PvP guild though we decided that it’s more fun to not be restricted to anything in particular. Our Members, while variying in ages, have a few things in common: 1) Respect for other players both internal and external to the guild. 3) #2 is overrated. C) We work as a team regardless of the activity.

Guild Events
Carpe members can expect the following type of events regularly:

SPvP - Both casual and tournaments
WvW - While we will participate in WvW events as a guild, we will also combine forces with other guilds to turn the tide of battle! :-)
PvP Training nights - A time for the PvPers to get together and share strategies, experiences and to share ideas outside of organized PvP area’s. This will also be a night where veteran PvPers will help to train lesser experienced players on PvP principles.
PvE leveling groups - Will have multiple group leaders at various levels and areas in the game.
Skill point events – Group up to collect skill points in various areas.
PvE Dungeon and World boss type events
Achievement events – Groups to go out and work on collecting achievements.
Alt nights – While we will not limit you on playing your alts whenever you like, the idea here is that everyone will be playing an alt.
Community nights (Random fun nights) – Guild tournaments, Scavenger hunts, random games etc

Recruitment
Beer Drinkers (Recruits): The keg has been tapped, come join us! All Classes and races are open.

Officer and Leadership positions (subject to change):
Since not all our members will be interested in competitive PvP we will have at least two SPvP leaders. One that will run more casual fun groups with more focus on just having a good time but still keeping the group organized and another position for the more competitive players to hone their skills and win tournaments.

Casual SPvP Leader: Position filled.

Competitive SPvP Leader: The overlying theme of the Carpe Cerevisiam is to have fun, so this is not an elitist position. You must be willing to work with people who want to be competitive but may not be at that level just yet. You will have the freedom to organize, plan and run the group in the way that you feel offers the best opportunity for success. It will be understood that your groups are competitive and no hard feelings are to be taken from the decisions made. You will also be considered a PvP expert and be expected to take part in PvP training nights to pass knowledge and experience on to other members of the guild.

If you are an experienced PvP leader and are interested in leading the Carpe team, apply at our website.

WvW Leader: Position filled

PvE Dungeon leader(s): Looking for at least one PvE group leader. Carpe is more of a PvP focused guild but we will be exploring all that the game has to offer. Expecting to have multiple runs a week for casual PvE dungeon and/or world boss type scenario’s. Leader must be willing to learn PvE content and have the ability to articulate that knowledge to the groups. You must also be somewhat familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of each class so that you can successfully asses the group and plan accordingly. Must have patience and leadership type skills in order to lead your group through various content. As the PvE Dungeon leader you will also be expected to maintain a weekly schedule of runs. You will not be expected to run every group. Depending on demand we will have a number of PvE leaders so that anyone can take a break if they want. We do not want anyone burning out.

Achievement Leader: Position filled

Community Leader: Position filled

TLDR: Carpe Cerevisiam is and has always been a guild that strives to have fun first. Our members could be characterized as laid back but serious (or seriously laid back). Our passion is in working together to make both our individual and group experiences things you will remember; whether that's in the trenches of structured pvp, or getting that PVE boss down for the first time, in the end we're all in it to have fun.
